OREANDA-NEWS By the end of 2025, exports of Russian pipeline gas via the European branch of the Turkish Stream became a record, exceeding 18 billion cubic meters, RIA Novosti estimated.

According to the European Network of Gas Transmission System Operators, gas supplies through the Strandzha 2 – Malkochlar point, which is located on the Bulgarian-Turkish border, amounted to about 18.06 billion cubic meters from January 1 to December 31 last year (+8.3% by 2024).

Turkish Stream is an export gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey via the Black Sea. The first of the two strands of the pipeline is intended for gas supplies to Turkish consumers, the second for gas supply to the countries of Southern and Southeastern Europe. We are talking about Serbia, Romania, Greece, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary.
