OREANDA-NEWS The Digital Industrial Platform, a joint venture of Gazprom Neft and the developer of industrial software GC Digit, is negotiating the supply of software to oil and petrochemical companies in Iran. This was reported to TASS by the director of the joint venture Alexey Tribunsky.

"We are negotiating with Iranian oil and petrochemical companies on the implementation of our solutions, including Iranian partners interested in the digital industrial platform Zyfra Industrial IoT Platform Oil&Gas," - said Tribunsky.

He clarified that the peculiarity of the Iranian IT market is the almost complete absence of large corporate implementations of industrial solutions.

"This happened as a result of long-term sanctions that cut off the country from foreign vendors, as well as due to the fact that the issue of ensuring sales was more acute for the industry than the issue of efficiency," said Tribunsky.

At the same time, Iran may also be interested in jointly building petrochemical plants and solar power plants in the Islamic Republic with Russia. Russian companies, in turn, may be interested in the competencies accumulated by Iran in the production of gas turbines, Alexander Cherny, architect of the IT infrastructure of the Transformation Strategy practice of Reksoft Consulting, told TASS.

Deputy Minister for Technology and Innovation of the Ministry of Communications of the Islamic Republic of Iran Meissam Abedi will take part in the forum "Domestic software - effective solutions" within the framework of the Russian Week of High Technologies. This was announced by the chairman of the organizing committee of the Russian Week of High Technologies, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education Vladimir Kononov. The Russian High Technology Week is taking place this year from April 11 to 14 in Moscow.
