OREANDA-NEWS Russian oil supplies to India decreased in December-January to 1.2 million barrels per day, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"Despite the opposition of the West and the situational decrease in volumes in December-January to 1.2 million barrels per day, we remain the largest supplier of oil to India. Given the significant discounts on Russian grades, the benefits for the local oil refining industry are obvious," he said.
"We believe that Russia will retain its status as one of the main suppliers of energy resources, and entrepreneurs will be able to adjust the existing format of interaction taking into account the current situation," Alipov added.
