OREANDA-NEWSConsideration of Kiev’s refusal to enforce the fine awarded to Gazprom by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) is impossible "in the existing legal realities". This was reported to the correspondent of the Russian media by the head of the AMCU Yuri Terentyev.

"In the existing legal realities, this is impossible", he said. The head of the committee stated this in response to a request to comment on the issue of whether the option of refusing judicial (financial) claims to Gazprom is being considered, including as a compromise on the part of Kiev in future gas agreements with the Russian Federation.

Earlier, the head of Naftogaz of Ukraine Andriy Kobolev estimated Kiev’s claim to Gazprom at $ 22 billion. As the Ukrainian top manager wrote on Facebook, counter measures from Moscow on comparable amounts are needed to reset them. At the same time, Kobolev accompanied his post on the social network with a video clip of the popular Russian comedian and performer Semyon Slepakov with a song about the New Year, in which "everything will be the other way around".
