OREANDA-NEWS  The potential of Russian-Turkish relations is so significant that new practical results are expected on the bilateral track in the future, Director of the fourth European Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Yuri Pilipson told RIA Novosti, speaking about Russia's prospects to build a nuclear power plant in Turkish Sinop.

Earlier, Turkish Energy Minister Fatih Donmez said that Ankara is discussing with the Russian Federation the construction of a second nuclear power plant in the country – in Sinop on the Black Sea coast, the terms of the contract may differ from those that operate on the first NPP. "Works of this scale require thorough preparation, scrupulous assessment of all aspects of construction, creation of favorable conditions.

There is nothing surprising in the fact that the implementation of two similar projects will have differences, at least due to the geographical features of the location of the NPP, the availability of related infrastructure at the relevant sites, the economic structure of the subregions," the diplomat said, commenting on the prospects for the construction of a second NPP in Turkey.
