OREANDA-NEWS The situation with prices at gas stations is stable, they are rising no higher than inflation, and the volatility of quotations in the wholesale market has been smoothed out, said Maxim Shaskolsky, head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS).

"According to the results of the work done, the situation with gas station prices is currently stable, the dynamics in retail is within the inflation rate, and the volatility of the wholesale market has been smoothed out," Shaskolsky said at the FAS board.

He recalled that the territorial bodies of the department were instructed to strengthen control over the retail and small wholesale motor fuel market, including taking into account the field work season. The territorial departments of the Federal Antimonopoly Service have ten cases pending on grounds of violation of antimonopoly legislation, Shaskolsky shared.
