OREANDA-NEWS  Gasoline in the UK has risen in price by more than 20% since the beginning of the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, to 158.78 pence per liter ($ 2.13), which was another record, RIA Novosti calculated after examining data from the weekly reports of the Ministry of Energy.

As follows from the latest report, as of May 25, the average price of gasoline at the gas station reached 158.78 pence ($ 2.13) per liter. At the same time, on March 2, it was at 132.14 pence per liter, which means that the increase since the beginning of March has been more than 20%. The previous record was set on April 13, when the price reached 158.17 pence per liter, after which it temporarily decreased.

The price of diesel currently stands at 185.07 pence per liter, which is still below the record 192.14 pence per liter, also recorded on April 13. Nevertheless, the price remains 30% higher than at the beginning of March.
