OREANDA-NEWS The Swedish Prosecutor's Office confirmed the fact of sabotage on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines. This is reported by Reuters.

"During the inspection of the crime scene, which was carried out in the Baltic Sea, a large amount of evidence was collected, everything in the area was carefully documented," the material says. Prosecutor Mats Jungqvist, who is conducting a preliminary investigation, said that remnants of explosives were found at the scene near the pipelines.

According to the law enforcement officer, the investigation of the incident is ongoing in order to make more informed conclusions about the incident.

Earlier, Die Welt wrote that two unknown vessels with their transmitters turned off, spotted before the sabotage near the threads of the Nord Stream, could perform reconnaissance tasks. It is assumed that the courts had to check the absence of witnesses of the upcoming sabotage.
