OREANDA-NEWS. Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a study of the market for new cars in Russia, and it has counted the income from their sale by the results of the first half of 2016. According to the study, during this period, Russians spent on the purchase of new cars 847 billion rubles, which is slightly less (-0.6%) compared to the same period of the last year.

The leader by income in the Russian market is the Mercedes-Benz, which from the sale of new passenger cars received 97.4 billion rubles – more by 2.7% than a year before. We should note also that the German brand has managed to get around the Japanese Toyota by the revenue, which with 96.3 billion rubles (5.7%) fell to the second place of ranking.
