During this period, sales of low-alcohol products in Russia increased by 14.9 percent, to 4.3 million decaliters. Compared to the first quarter of last year, Russians bought 2.6 percent more grape wines and 7.7 percent more sparkling wines. At the same time, sales of grape-containing beverages without ethyl alcohol fell by 79.6 percent, while sales of beverages with ethyl alcohol, on the contrary, increased by 17 percent.

At the same time, Russia increased the supply of alcohol in the first quarter of the year — imports increased by 30 percent year-on-year. In total, the country has purchased 123.96 million liters of alcohol abroad.
