OREANDA-NEWS. The tourist flow from Russia to Egypt, due to the increase in flights between Moscow and Cairo, will grow slightly. This is how representatives of the tourism industry commented on RIA Novosti.

Since Thursday, Russia has increased the number of flights between Moscow and Cairo to seven per week. "Actually, there are not many changes so far. Information on new programs has not yet been reported, but we are working with Egypt on the basis of Aeroflot flights, so in the end, of course, the total tourist flow there will grow," the press service of the tour operator Anex Tour reported.

The company also stressed that many tourists are still awaiting the decision of the authorities on the programs for the resorts that were previously announced - Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh. "Increasing the frequency to Egypt is the only opportunity for tour operators who have their own air transportation to get large-scale sales," said Artur Muradyan, General Director of Space Travel.

He also noted that for tourists, flights to Cairo incur additional cash costs for transfers to get from the capital to the resorts. "In fact, for many, Egypt remains uninteresting until charters are opened," Muradyan said. In turn, the deputy general director of Tez Tour Egypt Tamer Said noted that as soon as the charter service with Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh is established, the leading Russian tour operators will put there up to 70 flights a week.

"In this case, the demand for tours to Egypt with a departure from Moscow will increase by about 1000-1300 percent, since the five largest tour operators in Russia are likely to offer their charter programs to both regions on a daily basis. In total, this will amount to about 70 flights per week. only from the capital's airports, "Said said.
