For the first time, white and pink wines overtook red wines in terms of sales

OREANDA-NEWS By the end of 2025, white and pink wines overtook red wines in terms of sales for the first time in the modern history of Russia: 367 million units against 366 million, Roskachestvo told RIA Novosti.
"Sales of white and pink wines in units by the end of 2025 exceeded sales of red wines for the first time in the modern history of Russia, according to the analysis of the Wine Guide of Russia. In the 12 months of 2025, 367 million units of white and pink still wines were sold in Russia against 366 million units of red wines," the report says.
The share of white wines in the total sales volume reached 45%, while pink wines accounted for another 5%. Red wines still hold exactly half of the market, but their volume in units decreased by 6% compared to the previous year. It is noted that as early as 2026, the share of red wines may fall below 50%.
