OREANDA-NEWS Fruit and vegetable products in Russia have continued to fall in price since the end of April - by an average of 0.9% for the period from May 11 to May 15, according to Rosstat data.

Prices for fruits and vegetables in Russia have been falling since April 25. So, in the previous reporting period, from May 3 to May 10, the agency also recorded a decrease in prices for fruits and vegetables - by 1.2% on average, from April 25 to May 2 - by 0.8%. The last time before this, such dynamics was observed in mid-March.

"The decrease in prices for fruit and vegetable products averaged 0.9%," the materials of the statistical office say.
Cucumbers (by 9.2%) and tomatoes (4.2%) fell the most, banana prices decreased by 0.9%. At the same time, white cabbage rose significantly - by 14.9%, carrots – by 3.9%, onions – by 3.6%, potatoes – by 1.6%, table beets and apples added 0.5% in price.
