Imports of one Georgian product to Russia have plummeted

OREANDA-NEWS In August, Russia reduced the import of Georgian mineral water by three times. The sharp drop in imports was reported by RIA Novosti, citing data from the Georgian customs.
It is claimed that purchases have more than doubled compared to August 2025, falling to the lowest since June 2022 values of 2.5 million dollars. As a result, Russia dropped to the second place among the largest importers of mineral water from Georgia.
The first place was taken by Kazakhstan, which increased imports almost twice to 3.1 million dollars. Ukraine took the third place, reducing imports by 13 percent (to 1.3 million).
Before that, Russia bought record volumes of peaches from Georgia. Last month, exports of Georgian peaches to Russia reached 8,300 tons, which was a record for August.
