OREANDA-NEWS  A noticeable surplus of household appliances was recorded on the Russian market, Kommersant reported with reference to representatives of various companies, as well as distributors.

According to experts, this situation has developed due to last year's increased demand for home appliances. Manufacturers and suppliers of goods increased both the volume of purchases and the volume of production of household appliances, which eventually led to a glut of the market. The demand for this group of goods has fallen at the same time: sales have decreased by 30 percent, and in 2023 they may fall by another 10-30 percent.

"The fact is that last year manufacturers and suppliers of electronics began to actively order large batches of equipment that arrived in Russia only now," Gleb Mishin, head of the representative office of the manufacturer of household appliances Candy—Hoover Group in Russia, commented on the situation to journalists.
At the same time, according to the publication, market participants do not intend to reduce prices for household appliances, nor to increase them, despite changes in the value of the ruble. Current prices will be maintained by distributors and manufacturers until the surplus goods are sold out.
