OREANDA-NEWS  The government commission has approved two documents allowing testing the online sale of Russian wine. This is reported by RBC with reference to the press services of the government and the Ministry of Finance.

Now the documents will be sent to the government for consideration, and then to the State Duma. If the draft law on the experimental procedure and amendments to the law on state regulation of the production and turnover of ethyl alcohol are adopted, a pilot project for the online sale of domestic wine will be launched from November 1, 2023.

The experiment will last until July 31, 2026. Initially, it will cover Moscow and the Moscow region, but the Ministry of Agriculture proposed to include St. Petersburg, Leningrad and Nizhny Novgorod regions in the testing as well. In these regions, it will be possible to purchase Russian (produced from grapes grown in the country) wines on a special website of the Russian Post.

It will be possible to place an order only with the help of a Unified identification and Authentication system (ESIA, used on "Public Services"), and to receive it only by passport. The purchased alcohol will be delivered to the address or to the nearest post office no earlier than 24 hours after placing the order.
