OREANDA-NEWS. The city of Paris is going to ban the movement of tour buses in the historic center of the city to improve the environmental situation and combat the "overhorizon".

Paris is crossed daily by dozens of double-Decker hop on/hop off tourist buses, stopping to pick up and drop off passengers at the most important monuments and attractions. According to the Deputy mayor, a new regulatory legislation is being prepared: it provides for the restriction of traffic and removal of Parking spaces outside the city, so that buses do not enter the center.

In Paris and the capital region of Ile de France in 2018 visited a record 50 million tourists, which is 2 million more than a year earlier. The growing flow of visitors leads to the fact that the city is increasingly suffering from "over tourism".

France is the most popular tourist country in the world, last year it was visited by almost 90 million people.
