OREANDA-NEWS   The Italian brand Gucci showed an advertisement for the new collection and caused controversy online. The corresponding photos and comments appeared on the retailer's Instagram account (the social network is banned in Russia; belongs to Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

We are talking about the Cruise 2022 line, in which the models appeared in winter outfits: fur coats, fur hats, coats and sweaters. In addition, the models posed in pendants made in the form of a hoop, as well as massive triangular earrings.

Buyers saw references to Russia in the advertisement because of the similarity between the decorations in which the heroes of the promo are depicted with the traditional Yakut accessory - bastynga. In this regard, commentators cursed Gucci. "Cancel the brand," "Why are Yakut motives here?", "Cancel Gucci for references to Russia," they said.

At the same time, other customers admired the company's advertising. "Beauty", "Russia is wonderful", "Just wow", "I want to buy everything," users noted.

Earlier in December, the reference to the USSR in the Gucci advertisement also surprised foreigners. In the published shots, the model posed in a car in a red bomber jacket and a multicolored scarf of a luxury brand. In addition, she was holding a fur-trimmed bag in her hands.
