OREANDA-NEWS The stagnation in the gadget market has brought down the average check for laptops, tablets and smartphones on large Ozon and Wildberries marketplaces. A comparison of sales for April and February 2023 showed its decline in all similar product categories.

As reported aif.ru analytical company Moneyplace, on Ozon the average check fell for the product categories "laptops, tablets and e-books" (-28%), "game consoles and computers" (-15%), "phones and smart watches" (-10%) and "headphones and audio equipment" (-6%). A similar pattern is observed on Wildberries: "laptops and computers" (-8%), "smartphones and phones" (-6%), "headsets and headphones" (-6%).

The decrease in the average check for laptops, tablets and other electronic devices was due to dumping by sellers due to the stagnation of the market, he said aif.ru CEO of the Moneyplace analytics service Dmitry Ermolaev. According to him, buyers are losing interest in the e–book section due to the low spectrum of action, and to game consoles - due to the lack of new supplies. Buyers are reluctant to sort out the old remnants of gadgets in warehouses, which is why the average receipt for such goods organically falls.
