OREANDA-NEWS  Bunge, one of the largest agro-industrial companies in the world, has sold an oilseed processing plant in the Voronezh Region. Its subsidiary Bunge CIS produced four brands of vegetable oil: Oleina, Ideal, Maslenitsa, Primoliva. The withdrawal from the Russian market is reported on the website of the Russian "daughter" Bunge.

Since February 3, the company continues to manufacture and sell products under the control of the new owner. The name of the company will be changed in the near future.

The name of the owner is not indicated in the notice on the website, but earlier the Business Wire agency wrote that the American company plans to transfer the business to the controlling shareholder of Exoil Group Karen Vanetsyan. "Thanks to Karen Vanetsyan's more than 25 years of experience in the field of agricultural processing, we are confident that the team will continue to successfully serve customers," Bunge CEO Greg Heckman said at the time.

The Russian division of Bunge was registered in 2004, and the plant in the Voronezh region was put into operation in 2008. Investments in it exceeded $ 130 million, Interfax reports. In 2021, the revenue of Bunge CIS increased almost 1.6 times in annual terms, from 19.1 billion rubles in 2020 to 30 billion rubles, and net profit increased from 1.3 to 1.9 billion rubles.
