OREANDA-NEWS  The price of butter and eggs may decrease if the retail margin does not increase, Dmitry Leonov, deputy chairman of the board of the Rusprodsoyuz association, told RIA Novosti.

"The inclusion of butter and eggs in the list of socially significant goods and the ban on charging bonuses when they are supplied online are aimed at increasing the transparency of the distribution chain and reducing "fees" from manufacturers. The price for the buyer can decrease only if the retail margin does not increase," the agency's interlocutor said.

In February, the government included eggs and butter in the list of socially important food products, for the purchase of which manufacturers should not pay remuneration to retailers.

Moreover, in order to pay five percent of the remuneration, the manufacturer must take it into account in the selling price, and in this case the network may require to reduce the cost of shipping the supplier's goods.
