OREANDA-NEWS  Russia and Belarus intend to increase trade turnover by 50% from the current level by 2030, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk said.

"Compared to 2023, the indicators of joint trade turnover have already increased by 7.1%. And they reached 3.5 trillion Russian rubles. These are very serious figures... By 2030, we intend to increase the current figures by at least half, taking into account the already implemented policy of import substitution and increasing cooperation between our enterprises," Overchuk said, speaking at a meeting of the High-level Group of the Council of Ministers of the Union State.

He noted that the countries are the most important trading partners for each other, and their trade turnover is balanced, that is, mutual exports and imports are approximately equal to each other.
