Russia has dramatically increased food supplies to the CIS countries

OREANDA-NEWS According to the results of the first quarter of 2026, the total volume of supplies of products of the Russian agro-industrial complex to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) increased by 28 percent compared to the same period in 2025. The Telegram channel of the federal center Agroexport reports a sharp increase in shipments of domestic food to the CIS countries.
During the reporting period, exports in physical terms reached about 3.6 million tons. The total cost of supplies during this time increased by 22 percent year-on-year and exceeded $ 2.3 billion, analysts said. The achieved results proved to be the maximum for this period of time, both in physical and monetary terms.
Kazakhstan has become a key importer of Russian agricultural products. Shipments in this direction amounted to more than 2.3 million tons. The top 3 buyers also include Belarus (about 890,000) and Kyrgyzstan (over 220,000). Armenia closed the top four with a result of more than 90 thousand tons, the experts concluded.
