OREANDA-NEWS Over the past ten years, Russian companies have increased exports of meat products to ASEAN countries by 50 times, said Maxim Reshetnikov, head of the Ministry of Economic Development.
"Russia also exports agricultural products: wheat, corn, vegetable oil. The supply of meat products has increased 50 times in 10 years," he said at the opening of the Russia-ASEAN business forum.
He noted that this is facilitated by the recognition of Russian veterinary certificates in the countries of the association.
In addition, Reshetnikov added, fertilizer exports from Russia to ASEAN have increased by more than a third.
ASEAN was established in 1967 and consists of 11 countries: Brunei, East Timor, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines.
The Russia–ASEAN Business Forum is taking place on June 17 on the sidelines of the Russia–ASEAN Summit in Kazan. RIA Novosti is the information partner of the forum.
