Russia has increased meat exports to the BRICS countries

OREANDA-NEWS In the first five months of 2026, exports of Russian meat and edible offal of pigs and cattle to China increased 1.4 times. These data from Agroexport were quoted by Interfax.
We are talking about supplies of more than 53 thousand tons, for almost $ 156 million. Exports of pork and food by—products of pigs reached 46.5 thousand tons, and beef and food by-products of cattle - 6.7 thousand tons.
In 2025, Russia sold China more than 76,000 tons of pork worth $191 million. Beef supplies then reached 23 thousand tons (more than 122 million dollars).
According to the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, in February 2026, Russia supplied $14 million worth of frozen beef to China. The achieved figure turned out to be the highest since May 2023.
Last year, China turned out to be the main buyer of Russian beef. More than 18.5 thousand tons were imported.
