OREANDA-NEWS In the first half of this year, Russia reduced imports of butter from Kazakhstan by 2.4 times compared to the same period in 2025 - the amount of supplies amounted to only $ 1.9 million, according to data from the local customs department, which was studied by RIA Novosti.

The reduction in imports resulted from the suspension of certification of exporters of certain types of dairy products from Kazakhstan to Russian recipients.

The supply of cheeses and cottage cheese in January-June decreased by a quarter, to $ 2.1 million, and condensed milk and cream - by 4.3 times, to $ 1.23 million.

At the same time, Russia is Kazakhstan's main market for the relevant products. Thus, in January-June of this year, it accounted for 94% of butter exports from Kazakhstan, 53.3% of cheese and cottage cheese supplies, and 41.1% of condensed milk.
