OREANDA-NEWS In the first half of the year, Russia increased beer purchases from China by more than 40 percent, to $25.3 million. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to data from Chinese customs officials.

In June, Moscow reduced imports of beer supplied by Beijing by 18 percent month-on-month, increasing it by about 10 percent year-on-year. Russia is second only to Hong Kong, Taiwan and Myanmar in this indicator.

In January-April, beer imports to Russia increased by one and a half times, to 13.5 million decaliters. Market participants attributed this dynamic to the extremely low supply rate in 2025 due to increased duties on products from unfriendly countries.

At the same time, for example, beer purchases in Germany continue to decline sharply, having immediately tripled in May.
