Russia has shipped a record amount of lentils abroad

OREANDA-NEWS Russian exports of lentils in January-March turned out to be a record for all the years of observation. Having reached 60.5 thousand tons, it exceeded last year's maximum of 52 thousand tons by 16 percent. This is reported by the federal center "Agroexport".
It is noted that the statistics for the first quarter refer to preliminary estimates of foreign supplies, which do not take into account the EAEU data for March. The value of Russian lentil exports in three months amounted to $ 27 million.
Turkey, India, Iran, Egypt and Afghanistan are considered the key buyers of this legume crop from the Russian Federation. In total, in 2025, Russian exports of lentils reached 317 thousand tons.
Earlier it also became known that deliveries of domestic wafers to foreign buyers brought the Russian Federation a record 152 million dollars in 2025, which is 11 percent more than a year earlier.
