Russia has updated the record for the import of noodles

OREANDA-NEWS In January, Russia bought $6.4 million worth of noodles in South Korea, which is twice as much as in the same period a year earlier. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to data from South Korean statistics.
The current result was the highest in the entire history of deliveries. The previous record was set in November 2025 at $5.9 million.
In physical terms, imports increased 1.9 times over the year, to 1.44 thousand tons. Compared to November, the purchase increased by 140 tons.
Russia is the sixth largest importer of South Korean noodles in the world. Only the United States ($28.4 million), China ($25.4 million), the Netherlands ($9.9 million), Japan ($6.8 million) and the Philippines ($6.8 million) remain ahead. However, if the current dynamics continue, the country may move to fourth or even third place within a year.
Earlier it was reported that in 2025, the supply of noodles from South Korea to Russia increased 1.5 times, to 10.85 thousand tons. In monetary terms, imports increased 1.6 times, to 48.1 million dollars.
