OREANDA-NEWS  Last year, sparkling wine exports brought Russia 4.7 million dollars. These data from Agroexport were quoted by Interfax.

The achieved figure was 44 percent higher than in 2024. In physical terms, supplies were estimated at almost one and a half million liters.

Kazakhstan turned out to be the main buyer of Russian champagne, importing 425 thousand liters. In addition, Belarus purchased about 358 thousand liters, and China — more than 327 thousand liters. Supplies to Kyrgyzstan and Abkhazia amounted to about 115 and 74 thousand liters, respectively.

Last year, alcohol retail sales in Russia fell by more than nine percent. The most significant reduction was shown by the segment of low—alcohol beverages - their sales fell by more than 87 percent. Sales of vodka decreased by 3.6 percent, and cognac — by 9.2 percent.

It also turned out that, following the results of the first nine months of 2025, France was once again among the top five suppliers of sparkling wine to Russia for the first time since 2022, ranking in fourth place.
