OREANDA-NEWS  In Russia, 50 percent of citizens regularly or from time to time buy farm products. This was shown by a study conducted by Romir experts.

In addition, 28 percent of the respondents said they are not spending money on such products yet. However, they admitted that they would not mind buying it if it appeared in the stores of which they are customers.

At the same time, as follows from the chart published on the Romir website, 22 percent of the country's residents do not buy farm products and are not ready to do so.

In early June, financial expert Tatiana Volkova stated that up to a quarter of Russians' spending on groceries is on unplanned products or so-called impulsive spending. One of the most common mistakes is the lack of a clear budget for food, and often the reason for significant spending on groceries is not the "expensive life", but the lack of a systematic approach.

Since the beginning of 2026, the cost of a minimum grocery basket, which includes 33 food products, has increased by an average of 7.9 percent in Russia, to 8,107.15 rubles.
