OREANDA-NEWS  Sales of perfumes in Russia in 2022 increased by almost 28 percent compared to the previous year, to 85.57 million units, while the volume of products put into circulation decreased by almost 31 percent, follows from the materials of the operator of the Honest Sign labeling system — the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT), which RIA got acquainted with News.

Thus, total sales of perfumes in 2022 amounted to 85.57 million units, which is 27.7 percent more than in 2021, when this figure was 67 million units.

"The withdrawal from the turnover of perfumery products in the fourth quarter of 2022 amounted to 31.8 million units of goods, which is 12.5 percent less than the same period last year. In total, 85.5 million units of goods were purchased by end consumers in 2022," says the "Review of the Perfume product category" prepared by the CRPT together with the National Scientific Competence Center in the Field of Combating Illicit Trafficking in Industrial Products under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

It is noted that sales in retail outlets dominated last year (74 percent), but the volume of remote sales of perfume also increased over the year, its share was ten percent. At the same time, the largest number of perfume products per 1,000 people in the fourth quarter of 2022 was sold in the Central Federal District (373.52 units of goods). The same situation was observed in the third quarter. Such a high volume of sales was largely due to Moscow and the Moscow region. And the smallest amount of sales occurred in the North Caucasus Federal District.
