OREANDA-NEWS  Sales of Russian road construction equipment (DST) in the domestic market by the end of 2022 increased by 33 percent, to 73.4 billion rubles. This was reported in the Russian Association of Manufacturers of Specialized Equipment Rosspetsmash, Kommersant reports.

So, last year shipments of Russian excavators increased 2.1 times, front—end loaders - by 42 percent, cranes—manipulators — by 18 percent, graders - by 12 percent, mini—loaders - by 6 percent, tracked bulldozers — by 6 percent.

At the same time, shipments decreased in key segments. Sales of backhoe loaders fell by 60 percent, rollers - by 21 percent, telescopic loaders — by 19 percent, pipe—laying cranes - by 12 percent, truck cranes — by 0.3 percent.

In October last year, Rosspetsmash complained about dumping by foreign companies. This has a negative impact on the development of Russian engineering, they noted. The association proposed to "protect the domestic market from imports by introducing anti-dumping measures and increasing recycling rates."
