OREANDA-NEWS  Shoe sales in Russia in 2022 decreased by more than 10%, the average price for it increased by 9.6%. This is stated in the annual review of the shoe industry prepared by the CRPT (operator of the Honest Sign system) together with the National Scientific Competence Center in the Field of Combating Illicit Trafficking in Industrial Products (NSCC) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

"In 2022, 10.5% fewer pairs of shoes were sold than in 2021 - 290 million pairs," says the text of the study, which is available to TASS.

The structure of final sales for the year is dominated by sales to consumers in retail outlets: their share in the total volume is 68%. The growth of the remote sales segment is noticeable: its average contribution to sales increased from 5% in 2021 to 5.8% in 2022.

The average purchase price of shoes in 2022 increased by 9.6% compared to 2021 and amounted to 2,445 thousand rubles. In particular, the average price of sneakers increased by 20.4%, to 2,802 thousand rubles, sandals - by 19.5%, to 1,913 thousand rubles, felt boots - by 16.9%, to 1,803 thousand rubles, shoes - by 17.3%, to 2,467 thousand rubles. Boots for the year on average rose by 7.3%, to 3,330 rubles, slippers - by 8.6%, to 630 rubles, sandals - by 4.5%, to 4,056 rubles, galoshes - by 28.3%, to 453 rubles, the study notes.
