Some EU countries have increased imports of goods from Russia for the first time since February

OREANDA-NEWS In August, Portugal increased exports of Russian goods almost tenfold, France — by a quarter, and Germany regained first place in the list of main importers, according to RIA Novosti analysis of data from national statistical offices of the EU countries.
So, in February, the volume of Russian imports to France was at the level of 1.8 billion euros, but then declined for five months. However, in August, the indicator increased by 25 percent on a monthly basis to 1.1 billion euros.
Other European countries have also increased supplies, Portugal is the strongest, by 9.4 times at once, to 79 million euros. In addition, purchases of Russian goods from Latvia (44 percent), Austria (27 percent), Spain (27 percent), Greece (15 percent) and Slovakia (six percent) increased.
