OREANDA-NEWS  One of the world's largest suppliers of crystals for jewelry, clothing and lighting manufacturers Swarovski will completely withdraw from the Russian market and close its business in the country, said on Thursday the CEO of the Austrian brand Alexis Nazard in an interview with the Trend portal.

"We have come to the conclusion that we cannot support even suspended activities in Russia," the portal reports Nazard's words.

The CEO did not name the exact terms of withdrawal from the Russian market, but stressed that the closure of the business would be carried out in accordance with the laws in force in this case, including "economic sanctions and other trade restrictions."In March 2022, Swarovski suspended sales in Russia, including in online stores.

Swarovski AG is an Austrian company founded in 1895, which specializes in the production of loose crystals, jewelry, crystal figurines and the cutting of synthetic and natural precious stones. The company also produces optical equipment and ready-made lamps and chandeliers.
