OREANDA-NEWS The average check of Russians in cosmetics stores at the end of June-July amounted to 6,286 rubles, which is more than twice as much as last year's figure, according to a study of the payment service for online stores CloudPayments (the service is part of the Cloud group), the results of which are available to RIA Novosti.

"The amount of purchases in cosmetics stores increased by 120% in the first two months of summer 2023 compared to the same period last year. That is, from 2,853 rubles to 6,286 rubles," analysts calculated.

In hairdressers and beauty salons, according to the authors of the study, the same trend was observed. The average check increased by 68% in June-July 2023 compared to 2022 – from 765 rubles to 1,289 rubles.

In addition, analysts reported that they most often bought cosmetics in February 2023. So, in the last winter month, 168% more transactions were recorded than in January, and 101% more than in March. The indicator is explained by gender holidays, during which cosmetic products or certificates are often presented.

The services of hairdressers and beauty salons, the authors of the study noted, were most often used in May and June 2023. So, in these months, the number of transactions was 2% more than in March and April, and 36% more than in January and February. "Hairdressers were preparing for graduation, and beauty salons were preparing for the summer season and the vacation period," the service explains such dynamics.
