OREANDA-NEWS  The future of the Pyaterochka store in Sudzha has been revealed. Ekaterina Lobacheva, president of X5 Group, told about it at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, RBC reports.

The store building was severely damaged during the occupation, and the captured Pyaterochka became one of the symbols of the presence of Ukrainian troops on Russian territory.

"We will make a new, modern store there with all the technologies," Lobacheva promised. A park will be laid out next to the supermarket, in which there will be a memorial alley, she noted. "It will be a place of attraction and memory of the events that took place there," explained the head of X5 Group.

The construction will take up to four months, the top manager added.

Earlier, Alexander Khinshtein, the acting head of the Kursk region, spoke about the fate of the Sudzhinskaya Pyaterochka. He admitted that the store could be left in its current form as a reminder of the occupation period.
