OREANDA-NEWS  The Lebedyansky juice production plant (owned by PepsiCo Inc.) produced 406.9 million liters of products in 2022, which is almost a third less than in 2021 (599.4 million liters), according to the company's reports.

The company's revenue decreased to 1.68 billion rubles from 1.86 billion rubles in 2021, gross profit - to 263 million rubles from 304.7 million rubles. Lebedyansky's net profit increased to 3.1 billion rubles from 1.87 billion rubles a year ago.

Juice production was concentrated at Lebedyansky (Lipetsk region) after PepsiCo closed and put up for sale the Wimm-Bill-Dann Beverages plant in the Moscow Region in 2015.

PepsiCo became one of the leading producers of dairy products and soft drinks in Russia after the purchase of the company "Wimm-Bill-Dann". The deal closed in September 2011. The Russian company was valued at $5.8 billion.

In 2022, PepsiCo stopped producing drinks of the global brands Pepsi, 7UP and Mountain Dew and began production of products under the brands "Russian Gift", "Frustail", "Everless". The company also announced the suspension of investments and advertising activities in Russia. Sales of dairy products, as well as food for children continued.
