OREANDA-NEWS The majority of Russians (73 percent) are ready to buy goods from private sellers on retail platforms, and 68 percent themselves have experience selling on such sites, analysts of the Avito platform found out. They also named used products that are the most popular. 

According to analysts, the younger the respondents, the more open they are to this type of shopping. Thus, among respondents aged 18 to 24, 83 percent do not mind buying goods "from hand", and 54 percent of respondents over 65 years of age do.

Furniture and interior items turned out to be among the most popular goods that Russians are ready to purchase in this way (36 percent). In particular, Russians are looking for sofas, cabinets, tables, chairs, as well as paintings, vases, and vintage decor on retail platforms. This category is followed by books (32 percent) and household appliances (30 percent) — washing machines and dishwashers, televisions, vacuum cleaners and more. Also in the top 5 were electronics and gadgets (28 percent), as well as sports equipment (24 percent) — treadmills and other home exercise equipment. In open responses, respondents most often mentioned spare parts. In addition, plants are in great demand.
