OREANDA-NEWS  The UN has invited Ukraine, Turkey and Russia to begin preparatory work for the transit of Russian ammonia through Ukraine, Reuters reports, citing a source.

"The UN has invited Kiev, Moscow and Ankara to begin preparatory work for the transit of Russian ammonia through Ukraine," the report says. At the same time, it is noted that HE wants negotiations to be conducted in parallel on expanding the "grain" deal to a larger number of Ukrainian ports and other types of cargo. According to the source, Ukraine and Turkey have already agreed to the UN proposals, and Russia has not yet given an answer.

The grain initiative is an integral part of the package agreement. The second part - the Russia–UN memorandum, designed for three years - provides for the unblocking of Russian exports of food and fertilizers, the reconnection of Rosselkhoznadzor to SWIFT, the resumption of supplies of agricultural machinery, spare parts and maintenance, the restoration of the Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline and a number of other measures. As noted in Moscow, this part of the package agreement is still not being implemented.
