OREANDA-NEWS  About 60 thousand active online stores are now operating in Russia, the market is highly competitive, said Artem Sokolov, president of the Association of Online Trading Companies (AKIT), in an interview with RIA Novosti as part of the SPIEF.

"We have a fairly highly competitive market, and each seller chooses the appropriate channels for the sale of their goods. There are currently about 60 thousand online stores in Russia, and these are only those who actively sell some goods," he said. At the same time, according to Sokolov, recently there has been a trend towards the development of specialty stores - for example, with appliances and electronics or in the field of DIY. They are approached not only to purchase goods, but also for online expert advice, help with selection, accurate characteristics and a wide range of products from the same category.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) was held from 5 to 8 June. RIA Novosti is the information partner of the forum.
