OREANDA-NEWS  Roskachestvo said that traces of pesticides were found in tangerines on the shelves in Russian stores. It is noted that the nitrate content did not exceed the permissible concentration.

"Roskachestvo conducted laboratory tests of tangerines of five trademarks for the content of 396 of the most common pesticides that are regulated by law," the organization said, specifying that traces of pesticides were found in the pulp of all citrus fruits.

The interlocutor of the agency added that the nitrates contained in the tangerines did not exceed the permissible concentration. Roskachestvo explained that all the tangerines studied turned out to be safe, but advised to wash them thoroughly before eating them.

Earlier, specialists of the Pyaterochka express delivery service analyzed December customer orders and revealed products popular with Russians for the New Year's table. In the course of the study, it turned out that most often Russians buy sweet carbonated water for the holiday. In addition, the leaders in terms of orders were mayonnaise and tangerines.
