OREANDA-NEWS  In Kyrgyzstan, special services officers detained 30 members of a terrorist cell. This was reported in the press service of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of the republic, RIA Novosti reports.

"As part of the counter-terrorism operation. The GKNB authorities in Kyrgyzstan detained 30 supporters of an underground terrorist cell, whose activities were coordinated by foreign centers of an international terrorist organization," the ministry said in a statement.

According to the republic's National Security Committee, the detained citizens regularly held secret meetings. Within their framework, the propaganda of radical ideology was carried out, as well as the collection of funds. The National Security Committee clarified that the defendants were planning a "jihad against the constitutional order" of Kyrgyzstan.

Earlier, the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported on two attempted assassinations of the President of the republic Sadyr Japarov. They were prevented by the country's special services.
