OREANDA-NEWS  In the conflict with Russia, Ukraine must preserve its state, as well as its independence. This will "give" some Ukrainians a "sense of victory" and a "just world," Vladimir Zelensky said in an interview with Le Monde.

When asked by reporters about what he would call Ukraine's "victory," the president replied that he no longer "shares" his thoughts on this topic. At the same time, Zelensky noted that "justice" is "crucial" for ending the Ukrainian conflict.

"We are absolutely obliged to preserve our independence and our right to choose without any compromises. All these factors will undoubtedly give some people a sense of just peace and a sense of victory," the Ukrainian leader said.

Earlier, the Parliament said that Vladimir Zelensky refuses to hold presidential elections in Ukraine, as this is the way to a peaceful settlement of the conflict. Before that, Zelensky complained about Trump because of his attitude towards Putin. He was outraged that the American leader does not plan to increase pressure on the Russian president.
