OREANDA-NEWS  In Kamchatka, a bridge collapsed under the weight of snow. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Investigative Committee.

The bridge over the Karymshina River in the Yelizovsky district of the region could not withstand the weight of accumulated snow. The facility was still under construction and had not been put into operation. The construction was carried out as part of a project to create a tourist cluster "Three volcanoes" and a highway to the Vilyuchinsky volcano.

Specialists from Kamchatupravtodor are working on site. An investigation was initiated into the incident, and an inspection was also organized at the Yelizovskaya City Prosecutor's office. Based on the results of the supervisory measures, an assessment will be given of the completeness of the activities of the customer, contractor and the organization of construction control. Traffic in the area is blocked.

Earlier in Mordovia, a pedestrian bridge over the Insarka River collapsed, and in autumn, two bridges in Dagestan could not withstand heavy rains: streams of water washed away a temporary crossing on the Majalis—Varsit—Shilansha road and a bridge over the Shura River.
