OREANDA-NEWS  Morocco was hit by a devastating flood, which injured dozens of local residents. This is reported by MEDI1TV channel.

The day before, heavy rains hit the North African country after seven years of drought. Within an hour, residential areas and retail outlets in the city of Safi were flooded. The water washed away the cars and flooded the roads. At least 70 houses and shops were under water, and a section of the highway was also damaged.

32 residents were injured in the flood, 21 more people did not survive. Rescue operations are currently underway.

Earlier, flooding occurred in the United States. In a few days, more than 25 centimeters of rainwater fell in some areas of Washington and Oregon. Some local residents were evacuated.
