A European company will send a rover to the moon

OREANDA-NEWS A European company, Belgian Space Applications Services, will use the Blue Origin Blue Moon lander to send the Lunar Volatiles Mobile Instrumentation — Medium (LUVMI-M) rover to the Moon. This is reported by the European Spaceflight (ES) portal.
The publication notes that LUVMI-M may become the first European commercial mission to launch a lunar rover.
The LUVMI-M rover carries up to 20 kilograms of payload, is designed to operate for 10-14 days and is capable of traveling up to five kilometers on the Moon. The launch of the rover is expected in early 2029.
Earlier, the portal reported that Italy will spend more than five billion dollars to send two astronauts to the moon.
Also in September, NASA Chief Jared Isaacman said that the American space agency should be more selective in choosing partners for international cooperation, as the moon race is turning from a struggle for national prestige between the United States and China into a high-stakes competition for extraterrestrial territories and resources.
