OREANDA-NEWS One of the Gripen fighters of the Hungarian Armed Forces crashed, the pilot managed to eject. This was announced by Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar on his social network account.

"For unknown reasons, one of the Gripen fighters of the Hungarian Armed Forces crashed a few minutes ago near the town of Szolnok. The pilot managed to eject. An investigation is underway, and the Minister of Defense is heading to the scene of the incident," the head of the Hungarian government said.

According to preliminary data, there is no damage to civilian infrastructure or casualties.

On August 12, an F-16 fighter jet of the Turkish Armed Forces crashed during a training flight in Yalova. The pilot managed to escape by ejecting.
