A powerful earthquake has occurred in Mexico.

OREANDA-NEWS A strong earthquake was recorded off the coast of Mexico, its magnitude was 5.9. This was reported on the website of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).
The tremors were recorded on Wednesday, May 28, at 1:30 UTC (4:30 Moscow time). The epicenter of the earthquake was located 411 kilometers west-southwest of the city of Puerto Vallarta with a population of about 203 thousand people. The hearth was located at a depth of four kilometers. Information about the victims and damages is not specified.
On the eve it became known that an earthquake of magnitude 3.6 occurred in the waters of Lake Baikal. The epicenter lay in the southern part of the reservoir. The village of Maloe Goloustnoye, Irkutsk region, was the closest to the scene of the events.
